Born in Pequannock, Jackson grew up in Sussex and graduated from High Point Regional High School in Wantage this June, his obituary says.
An artistic soul, Jackson was a percussionist and loved all types of music, often composing his own, his memorial says.
Jackson also loved drawing and writing stories and poetry.
In his free time, Jackson enjoyed video games and was a loyal member of the school’s video game club, his obituary says.
Jackson is survived by his loving parents, Robert T. Jackson and Claudine G. Corcho; his sister, Brianna Jackson; his brother, Joseph Jackson; his maternal grandmother, Annis Corcho; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Diane Jackson, as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.
A GoFundMe that raised nearly $5,000 for funeral expenses described Jackson as a “genuine, sincere, brilliant, awesome, hilarious, and honest” teen who “consistently looked at and heralded the good in people.”
“Jeremy's sense of humor was incredible and his laugh could make everyone else laugh as well,” the fundraiser says. “His laughter came from his soul as did his love for his friends.”
Jackson’s funeral was held Nov. 28 at Pinkel Funeral Home on Bank Street in Sussex.
“[Jeremy] had strong morals and thoughts about how people should be treating each other kindly and that negativity had no place in humanity,” the fundraiser says.
“…Jeremy, indeed, was quite loved by all of us.”
